LEGAL
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
1. Overview
This website is operated by ICMG Woodridge on behalf of the Australian Muslims Assets Foundation Limited (AMAF), a registered Australian charity. AMAF is the legal entity that receives and holds donations made through this site for the purpose of acquiring 6 Pamela Crescent, Woodridge QLD 4114 and establishing the ICMG Woodridge Mosque.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at icmgwoodridge.org.au and any donation you make through it. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean ICMG Woodridge and AMAF acting jointly for the purposes of this campaign. References to "you" mean any visitor, donor, supporter, or user of the website.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By browsing this website, submitting an enquiry, or making a donation, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or make a donation.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that the organisation is bound by these Terms.
3. Use of the Website
You may browse, share, and link to this website freely. You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of it.
You agree not to:
- submit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, deceptive, harassing, or that could reasonably be expected to cause distress;
- use any automated system to access the site, scrape its content, or submit forms (other than search-engine crawlers acting in accordance with our robots.txt);
- attempt to interfere with the operation of the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malware, or overloading the enquiry form;
- impersonate any person or organisation when interacting with us; or
- use any content from the site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
This website does not require you to create an account. Where you choose to provide personal information (for example, by submitting the enquiry form), our handling of that information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
4. Donations — Overview
All donations made through this website are gifts to AMAF and are dedicated solely to acquiring 6 Pamela Crescent, Woodridge QLD as a community mosque and Islamic centre. If the campaign target ($2.55M AUD by 18 June 2026) is not reached, donations remain with AMAF for the establishment of a mosque in the Woodridge community — see section 12.
We accept donations through three methods: PayPal (sections 5), bank transfer (section 6), and directly arranged recurring donations (section 7).
5. PayPal Donations
Online card and PayPal-balance donations are processed by PayPal Australia Pty Limited under PayPal's own terms of service. PayPal handles all aspects of the payment, including authentication, settlement, and fraud screening. We do not collect, store, or have access to your card number or PayPal account password.
Once PayPal confirms a successful donation, the funds are transferred to AMAF, which holds them on the campaign's behalf. You'll receive a payment confirmation from PayPal directly; we will issue our own acknowledgement separately (see section 8).
Any disputes about a PayPal transaction itself (for example, a charge you don't recognise) should be raised with PayPal in the first instance. We will assist with any related queries you direct to us.
6. Bank Transfer Donations
Bank-transfer donations are made directly into AMAF's nominated Australian bank account. The account details are provided on this website and to anyone who requests them via the enquiry form.
When you make a bank transfer, please use the reference "ICMG WOODRIDGE" so that AMAF can identify your donation as part of this campaign. If you do not include the reference, we will still apply the donation to the campaign on a best-efforts basis, but we may need to follow up with you to confirm.
Please email us at info@icmg.org.au with the date and amount of your transfer so we can issue an acknowledgement and a tax-deductible receipt where applicable.
7. Recurring Donations
If you wish to set up a recurring donation arrangement, please contact us via the enquiry form. Recurring arrangements are administered directly between you and AMAF and may be paused, varied, or cancelled by you at any time on reasonable notice.
8. Receipts and Acknowledgement
We aim to acknowledge every donation. For PayPal donations, PayPal sends an immediate transaction receipt and we will follow up with our own acknowledgement. For bank transfers, we will issue an acknowledgement once we have matched your transfer to your contact details.
A separate tax-deductible receipt will be issued where AMAF holds Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsement applicable to your donation type and timing. See section 11 on tax deductibility, and consult your tax adviser regarding your individual circumstances.
9. Pledges
A "pledge" submitted through the enquiry form is a moral commitment to donate, not a legally binding contract. We rely on pledges in good faith to plan the campaign, but neither party is legally obliged to enforce or fulfil a pledge that has not been followed by an actual donation.
If your circumstances change and you cannot fulfil a pledge, please let us know so we can update our records. There is no penalty for revising or withdrawing a pledge.
10. Sponsorships and Naming
Major donors may, by separate written arrangement with us, dedicate or sponsor specific elements of the future mosque (for example, a mihrab, minbar, classroom, or naming opportunity). Such arrangements are made individually and are not bound by these Terms; the specific written arrangement governs.
We reserve the right to decline a sponsorship or dedication request where, in our reasonable view, it conflicts with the religious purpose of the mosque, the values of the community, or applicable law.
11. Tax Deductibility
AMAF is a registered Australian charity. Tax-deductibility status (Deductible Gift Recipient endorsement) may vary by donation type, donor circumstances, and timing. Where AMAF holds applicable DGR endorsement at the time of your donation, we will issue a receipt that complies with the requirements of the Australian Taxation Office.
We are not tax advisers, and nothing on this website constitutes tax advice. We recommend you consult your tax adviser regarding the deductibility of your donation in your individual circumstances.
12. If We Don't Reach the Goal
The campaign target is $2,550,000 AUD by 18 June 2026 to secure 6 Pamela Crescent, Woodridge QLD. If the target is not met by the deadline, AMAF will work to identify alternative paths forward. These may include:
- seeking a deadline extension from the seller;
- arranging bridge financing to complete the acquisition;
- applying the funds to an alternative property suitable for the same purpose in the Woodridge / Logan / South Brisbane area; or
- where none of the above is achievable, holding the funds for the future establishment of a mosque in the Woodridge community.
We will communicate transparently with all donors about which path is being taken. Donations will not be returned by default and will not be applied to any purpose outside the establishment of a mosque in the Woodridge community.
13. Refunds and Errors
Donations are generally non-refundable, as they are immediately committed to AMAF for the stated charitable purpose.
If you believe a donation was made in error — for example, an accidental duplicate transaction, an incorrect amount, or a payment authorised by someone who was not authorised to make it — please contact us within 14 days of the transaction. We will work with you in good faith to identify a fair resolution, which may include a refund where the circumstances reasonably warrant it.
This section does not limit any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law (see section 18) or under the chargeback / dispute processes of PayPal or your card issuer.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, layout, code, logos, and design elements — is owned by ICMG Woodridge / AMAF or licensed to us, and is protected by Australian and international copyright law.
You are welcome to share links to this website and to repost short, attributed excerpts on social media for the purpose of promoting the campaign. For any other use of our content, including reproduction, adaptation, or commercial use, please contact us first.
The ICMG name and logo, the ICMG Woodridge wordmark, and the AMAF name are trade-mark-style identifiers of the relevant organisations and may not be used without permission.
15. User-Submitted Content
When you submit information to us through the enquiry form (such as your message, a volunteer offer, or a partnership proposal), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty- free licence to use that information for the purpose of responding to and managing your enquiry.
If you separately authorise us to publish testimonials, donor acknowledgements, or supporter quotes, we will only use them in the form and context you have agreed to. You may withdraw that authorisation at any time, and we will remove the material within a reasonable period.
16. Disclaimers
The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make reasonable efforts to ensure the information on the website is accurate and up-to-date, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or free from errors.
Campaign figures (such as the amount raised, the days remaining, and the goal) are updated periodically and may not reflect activity within the last few hours.
Prayer times shown on the website are sourced from a third-party calculation provider and are intended for general guidance. Always rely on your local mosque or calculation method for binding religious observance.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, and subject to section 18, ICMG Woodridge and AMAF are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this website or any donation made through it.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms, however arising, is limited to the amount of any donation you have made in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.
18. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of that Act), or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where these Terms are inconsistent with such a law, the law prevails to the extent of the inconsistency, and the rest of these Terms remain in force.
19. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where the failure or delay is caused by an event beyond our reasonable control. Such events include, but are not limited to: acts of God; fire, flood, storm, or other natural disasters; epidemic or pandemic; civil unrest; acts of government or regulatory authority; failure of communications networks or hosting providers; and disruption to PayPal or other payment processors.
20. Linked Sites
This website contains links to third-party websites — including the PayPal donation page, the broader ICMG Australia website at icmg.org.au, and the OAIC website. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those third-party websites. Linking to a third-party website does not constitute an endorsement of that site.
21. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using this website or submitting information through it, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated more prominently — for example, via a notice on the homepage or in our regular campaign updates.
Your continued use of the website or submission of further donations after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The version of the Terms in force at the time of any specific donation governs that donation.
23. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, you can contact us:
